Last week, we were delighted to receive a donation from Care Visions, a Scottish-owned, not-for-profit child care service. Care Visions supports young people locally and nationally and raised the funds specifically for our Craigtoun Cafe & Kitchen Hospitality Courses.
The park welcomes over 100 young people onto these courses every year and the students run the Craigtoun Cafe every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, serving paying customers. This donation will benefit the young people by allowing us to purchase equipment for the cafe and kitchen that will be used to continue giving them valuable life and employability experience.
Care Visions are regulars at Craigtoun Park, not only bringing young people to the cafe and kitchen but also using other areas in the park for outdoor education. Craigtoun Cafe and Kitchen would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Ross Buchanan from Care Visions for raising these valuable funds.
