Volunteering

Barratt Homes

Last week we welcomed a team of willing employees from Barratt Homes to the park for the first of 2 corporate volunteering days scheduled by the organisation. The team of 7 did a great job of weeding out some overgrown areas of the park, much to the delight of the Craigtoun Gardening Group!

Their visit also provided the perfect photo opportunity as they presented the Park Manager with a cheque for £1500.

The Barratt Developments PLC Charitable Foundation (the ‘Barratt Foundation’) helps Barratt’s divisions do more for local charities by enabling them to donate to a local charity that matters to them and we were delighted to be nominated by the East Scotland Division as a worthy cause. This generous donation was used to purchase and erect a new gazebo in the park, which will be used as the station for new activity, Park Golf, when our seasonal attractions are running. At other times, the gazebo will be free for visitors of the park to use for picnics or to shelter from the elements.
