Brewer's Weeping Spruce

Tree No 4 on the Craigtoun Tree Trail is located close to the perimeter road as you head north from the Fairy Glen towards the Italian Garden.

  • Conifer with evergreen needle-like leaves

  • Native to western North American

  • Decorative tree with long, trailing branches of blue-green needles

  • Discovered and named by William Brewer in 1896

  • Suitable for large gardens and parks

Spruce wood is the most widely used construction timber in Europe.
