· Location: Craigtoun Country Park Café
· Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, day (office hours), working 5 out of 7 days
· Holidays: 28 Days per annum
· Pension Scheme available
· Reporting To: Park Manager
We are currently seeking to recruit a dedicated Café Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of operations within Craigtoun Country Park Café. As the Café Supervisor your job will be day-to-day supervision of the café, reporting directly to the Park Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee Daily Operations: Supervise the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring excellent customer service and efficiency.
· Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate the café team.
· Food Preparation Support: Carry out basic food preparation and give practical assistance with kitchen duties as needed.
· Rota Management: Produce weekly staff rotas in line with the Park Manager's guidelines.
· Cash Management: Working within a budget and ensuring accurate daily cash handling.
· Stock Management: Place orders to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimise wastage.
· Staff Training: Train and mentor staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
· Collaboration: Work alongside management to design and implement promotional events aimed at enhancing the cafe's performance.
· Delegation: Ensure proactive team task delegation.
· Allergen Awareness and Product Knowledge: Maintain a high standard of product knowledge and allergen awareness.
· Health & Safety: Maintain a high standard of Food and Health & Safety practices.
· Product Development: Work with the park management team to develop the café's product offering in line with our operating model and visitor requirements.

We are seeking someone who is organised and efficient, team-orientated, and committed to maintaining and improving our working practices. The ideal candidate should be flexible, open to a new challenge and willing to participate in training and development activities.
Essential requirements
Previous experience supervising a team within the food and beverage industry
Food and Hygiene Certificate to a minimum Level 2
NVQ Level 3 qualification is beneficial although not essential
Health and Safety knowledge
Salary: £13.80 per hour (£26,910 PA)
